Slow Cooker Bread Ingredients
- self rising flour
- greek yogurt

Bread in Slow Cooker Instructions
- In a large bowl, add both ingredients and mix well with a fork for approximately 2 minutes, then finish mixing with your hands as it becomes a dough.
- Lightly flour a flat surface and place dough on top. Knead for 1 minute with your hands.
- Form an oblong dough ball and place it inside a floured/greased non-stick loaf pan that will fit in your slow cooker.
- Turn your slow cooker on high and place the loaf pan inside. Cover the slow cooker with a clean paper towel, and place the lid on top to secure the towel.
- Cook for approximately 2 hours and 15-20 minutes.
- To brown the top of your bread, preheat your oven to 450°F and place the bread inside. Allow just enough time to brown the top portion of the bread; this should only take a few minutes, so don't walk away from the oven.
- Let the bread cool for 10-15 minutes before removing it from the loaf pan. Serve and enjoy!
Slow Cooked Bread Recipe Tips
- You can use non-fat greek yogurt in this recipe and it will not affect the outcome of the bread, though it may alter the flavor.
- If you don't have self-rising flour, mix together all-purpose flour (1 cup), baking powder (1½ teaspoon), and salt (½ teaspoon).

Storing Leftover Bread
Homemade bread does not last as long as store-bought bread! It's best to store your bread at room temperature in a cool dry place. Store your bread in an airtight bag or container for 2-3 days!
Unfortunately, placing bread in the refrigerator will not extend its life as the bread will become stale.
Freezing homemade bread: Wrap bread in plastic wrap tightly and store in the freezer for up to 3 weeks.

I have a pressure cooker that have a slow cooker setting, will this work on this recipe?
Em says
Hi Julio! I haven't tried using a pressure cooker slow cooker function for this recipe, but I know that at least with some pressure cookers, the slow cooking function tends to take a little longer as the temperatures aren't quite the same. I would personally leave it in the pot for 2 hrs 58 minutes to account for the temperature difference. Please let me know how it works out!
