Corn on the Cob in Air Fryer

My family and I are big fans of corn on the cob, but to be honest, I have always wished for a slightly easier way to make it. We love grilling corn on the cob - but nothing is as easy as cooking it in the air fryer!

Not only does it have a quick cook time - just 14 minutes - but my air fried corn on the cob recipe has the perfect balance of sweetness and spice you want in fresh corn. Complete with a homemade corn on the cob seasoning, it's genuinely irresistible.

Serve air fryer corn on the cob as a side dish for your favorite BBQ meals, like ribs or steak. I even like to air fry corn on the cob to shave off the kernels into a corn salsa to serve with pork chops. It's delicious!

Tips for Air Frying Corn

  • Fresh sweet corn works best for air frying. It has the perfect flavor and tender texture.
  • You can use frozen corn and cook for the same amount of time without thawing the corn, but must preheat the air fryer for 3-5 minutes. Simply season after the corn finishes cooking.
  • Air fryer corn on the cob is perfect for making elote. Complete with a mayonnaise-based elote seasoning and cotija cheese, this corn is truly delicious. Give it a try!
  • You can serve this corn on the cob in the air fryer with any seasoning you prefer, from butter with fresh herbs and parmesan cheese, to our chili lime corn on the cob seasoning (as written).
  • No need for any oil spray or olive oil. Brushing the corn with butter and seasoning is enough.

Storing Leftover Corn

Wrap cooked corn cobs in aluminum foil and place in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days. Reheat in the air fryer to serve again.

Corn on the Cob Air Fryer FAQ

Can you put aluminum foil in an air fryer with corn?

Although you can air fry corn wrapped in aluminum foil, you do not need to. You can simply brush the corn with butter and seasoning, then air fry without wrapping it in foil. However, if you would like to use foil, tightly wrap each piece. This may effect the texture of the corn.

How many minutes do you cook fresh corn on the cob?

Cook fresh corn on the cob in the air fryer for a total time of 14 mins, turning half way through. Depending on the size and model of your air fryer, or if it is preheated, it may take even less time. When the corn is ready to eat, it will be tender and bright yellow. The air fryer may add some crispiness to it, as well.
