Salad with Peaches
Every summer, I look forward to fresh, juicy peaches more than any other fruit. I used to think of peaches as a sweet snack or something to slice and enjoy in a morning parfait, but once I tried this salad with peaches, I quickly changed my mind (so did my whole family!).
Grilling peaches is quick and easy, and the flavor is like nothing else you will have ever tried. They soften up and become beautifully caramelized, which makes grilled peach slices perfect for pairing with a tangy vinaigrette, sliced almonds, feta cheese, and blueberries.
My family asks for this peach salad recipe as soon as peaches are in season, and I know you're going to feel the same way. Give it a try!

- Olive oil
- Arugula
- Cherry Tomatoes

How to Grill Peaches
- Cut peaches into wedges. Toss the slices gently with olive oil.

- Carefully remove the peaches and set aside.
Tips for Grilling Peaches
- Clean your grill grates before grilling peaches.
- Make sure the grill is hot before adding the peaches. If not hot enough, the peaches may stick to the grill. Use medium to medium-high heat.
- Your peaches shouldn't be too ripe. If they're too soft, they might fall apart on the grill. Use peaches that are still a little firm for best results.
- Don't forget to toss the peaches with oil!
- You can also grill peaches on the stove. Use a grill pan or a very hot cast iron skillet and cook for 2 minutes per side.
How to Make Peach Salad
- Place arugula at the bottom of a wide bowl.
- Top with sliced cherry tomatoes.
- Top with fresh blueberries.
- Arrange grilled peach slices over top.
- Whisk together olive oil, orange juice, Dijon mustard, and sugar to form a vinaigrette. Drizzle the dressing evenly over the salad, then add feta cheese.
- Top with sliced almonds. Serve, and enjoy!
How to Cut Peaches
- Wash peach under cold running water by gently rubbing it with your hands to avoid breaking the skin.
- Insert a small paring knife near the top of the peach until you hit the pit.
- Carefully move the knife down and cut all the way around the peach in a straight line.
- Separate the peach halves by gently pulling them apart with your hands. You may need to gently twist the peach to separate it.
- Use your hands to gently remove the peach pit.
- Gently cut away the center part of the peach where the pit was to remove any undesirable parts.
- Rest the peach halves cut-side down on a cutting board and cut each half into even slices. If you're grilling on a grill and not in a grill pan, I recommend cutting the halves into 4 thick wedges each so the peaches don't fall through the grate.
What goes well with peaches in salad?
- Goat cheese is a great choice of cheese for grilled peach salad, and is even better with a balsamic vinegar-based dressing, like honey balsamic vinaigrette.
- Feta cheese also works well in a summer salad like this one.
- Instead of almonds, you can also try using pine nuts, walnuts, pecans, or even candied pecans for even sweeter flavor.
- If you want to try using seeds instead of nuts, try sunflower seeds.
- If you want to add onion to your salad, use very thinly sliced red onion for best results. The sharp flavor of red onion contrasts nicely with sweet peaches.
- Although I used arugula for this recipe, you can use any blend of greens you like best for a salad - softer greens like baby spinach or a spring mix tend to work best.
- If you want to serve this peach salad recipe for a main course, grilled chicken or salmon is a great choice for the protein.
Peach Arugula Salad FAQ
If you're having trouble finding the perfect peaches for salad, try substituting nectarines or even apricots. Or, if peaches are just out of season, try making a Rocket Salad with Pear for a similar dish you'll love!
Parmesan, blue cheese, goat cheese, feta cheese, and mozzarella all pair well with sweet peaches. Burrata cheese is another great choice - try adding grilled peaches to an arugula burrata salad.
